After a visit to the US to attend to his ailing grandmother, Rahul Gandhi is back in India but his mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi is likely to return only after a couple of days.
The AICC general secretary was seen in Parliament today for the first time after the Monsoon Session started last week.
The Congress president and her son had to rush to the United States to attend to her ailing mother Paola Maino.
Party sources said that she would be back in a couple of days.
The absence of Sonia and Rahul in Parliament and cancellation of a scheduled meeting between the Congress chief and visiting British prime minister David Cameron had earlier raised speculation about her health, but it later came out that they have gone to the US to see Maino, who is in her 80s and suffering from age-related complications.
